Operatic Bass, Novell Allen

Novell Allen began his formal vocal training at the New World School of the Performing Arts in 1996 in Miami, Fl. at the tender age of 15. Upon graduation, he went on to obtain his B.A at Florida International University under the tutelage of renowned Bass/Baritone, Ed Pierson. A renowned singer and vocal coach, Mr. Allen also holds several positions throughout the community where he is charged to educate, illustrate, and demonstrate to youth as well as adult artists the effectiveness of sound vocal and piano technique and performance skills.

He currently holds the position of President and Founder of "Novell Music Media". He is also soloist at the Trinity Cathedral in Downtown Miami, Fl. As a pianist, Novell is an avid sight-reader, technically and musically sound, and can also play "by ear". He is currently building an international reputation as both a concert artist and Operatic singer. His most recent engagements includes performing with the Florida Grand Opera and will return to their roster for 2017-2018 season.

Mr. Allen studied with voice teacher Manny Perez for 5 years and currently studies with Caren Levine of the Metropolitan Opera to whom he attributes much of his fundamental knowledge of vocal technique in theory and in practice.
